Slane, who has a great eye for architecture and captures the unique beauty that can be found in secret, hidden places in downtown Los Angeles, from her former glory days when the architecture was overly ornate, especially when now, we see the degradation that has gone on for the past few decades. From the photographer, posted on flickr:

"The lobby of the Edison Building. Yes, this was built in the 1930's (Depression Era) and yes, that is all marble and a big expensive mural in the back. It was also the first building to be lit at night, and have both heating and air conditioning... They were the power company after all.
