focus, don't flail: too many job seekers confuse activity with achievement, movement with progress; successful job seekers don't flail, they focus a laser not a shot-gun: a narrow, well defined approach succeeds faster than a broad, general approach; the more focused you are the easier it is for you and the employer 4 hours per day: an effective job search requires 4 hours of genuine work per day; that's 4 hours of focused, intelligent effort that leads to results, eg, networking, gathering information, interviewing sources of information after putting in those 4 hours of work, then live your life: go to the gym, play golf, hit the beach, read, play with the kids, etc;
